Where does Amazonite come from?
Amazonite has been mined in Brazil, Colorado, Ontario and Quebec, Italy and the Ural Mountains of Russia.

Origins and Legends
Although its name is derived from the Amazon River, no deposits have been found there. Amazonite is said to make your married life happier and is said to be good for skin by releasing you of fear and anxiety.


Amazonite varies in color from yellow-green to blue-green and may also exhibit fine white streaks. Amazonite is a gemstone variety of green microcline, a feldspar mineral. It is usually opaque.

How to care for Amazonite
Like many gemstones, care should be taken to prevent severe hits to the stone and they should be store in separate boxes to prevent them from scratching each other.
